One of the major causes of attacks to security vehicles over the last 10 years has been through cut attacks, through the side of the vehicles by using tooling such as circular saws, Stihl saws and large disc grinders.

FSL has responded to this style of attack by working and developing various means of providing what is known as “Anti-Cut” protection or “Cut Arrest” protection.

This can be achieved by various methods subject to the current threat level and the amount of protection required. As part of our recommendations FSL, have to carry out a full review of the current threat level and from there can put forward various solution.

The panels can be manufactured to suit any vehicle platform, safe, area requiring protection or room sizes and offer resistance from 14" petrol disc cutters, angle grinders and other easily accessible, abrasive cutting tools. Anti-Cut panels can provide 10min/20min or 40 minutes Anti-Cut protection against a 400mm square entry point.

FSL’s Cut Arrest protection is a light weight flexible system which is designed to arrest the cutting disc in a very short period of time by jamming the tools spindle. This is done by using bespoke fibre material which is extremely strong. Due to its flexibility this system is easy fitted into tight areas and even corner spaces to provide protection where an inflexible system could not be fitted.
